I would add sautéed mushrooms near the end of cooking if you want them to have the best texture.

You may need to cut back on the veggies a little.

Super easy and everyone in my family loved it. The pot roast was so tender and juicy with plenty of flavor. I had to substitute soy sauce for the worcestershire sauce but it was still delicious.

I like to strain the lumpy onions and fat clumps out, the flavor will all still be there since it’s been simmering in the slow cooker so long.

Why strain?

YES you do sear a roast for better flavor!! Considering she said slow cook for 8 HOURS it might do you good to follow instructions!!!

I did 1/2 on high and half on low. It turned out great. Thank you.

You could in half the time but the end result likely won’t be as tender.
